Position Purpose
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Gardener to maintain the resort’s landscapes, gardens, plants, and surrounding outdoor areas to a high standard. This role is responsible for daily landscape and botanical upkeep, cleanliness of outdoor and surrounding areas, irrigation management, plant propagation, proper care of gardening tools and equipment, and safe use of fertilizers and pest-control products. The Gardener is also expected to maintain the resort’s standards of guest service, teamwork, safety, and grooming at all times.

Key Responsibilities
• Lawn Maintenance: Mow lawns evenly, trim shrubs, edge lawns throughout the resort, and ensure grass clippings are thoroughly cleared from walkways, roads, and common areas.
• Weeding & Debris Removal: Inspect assigned garden beds, rock gardens, and floral displays daily to ensure they remain clean and free from weeds, fallen leaves, organic waste, and plastic litter.
• Irrigation Management: Water plants according to schedule, operate and inspect automatic micro-sprinkler systems to ensure plants receive appropriate moisture efficiently and with minimal energy consumption.
• Nursery & Propagation: Assist with repotting plants, seed propagation, soil mixing, and organizing nursery plant stock for replacement of wilted or damaged plants.
• External Areas: Sweep and wash parking areas, entrance roads, and main pathways to remove soil, compost residue, or accumulated materials that may create hazards.
• Pool Surroundings: Use high-pressure water equipment for cleaning, remove fallen leaves, and sweep surfaces around all outdoor swimming pools to maintain a clean and immaculate appearance.
• Waste Management: Ensure gardening waste bins are regularly emptied, separate organic waste, and transport it to the resort’s composting area.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, oil, sharpen, and properly store gardening tools, lawn mowers, and mechanical equipment after each shift, and immediately report any damaged equipment.
• Safe Chemical Use: Apply fertilizers and organic nutrients, as well as approved pest-control products, under supervisor guidance while strictly wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Stay-Service: Deliver a warm smile and maintain a polite, respectful, and welcoming manner toward guests whenever working in guest areas.
• Stay-Team & Stay-Develop: Report to work on time, willingly support colleagues with physically demanding tasks, and participate in botanical and safety skills training.
• Grooming Standards: Wear the correct and clean uniform, safety shoes, and employee ID Tag at all times while on duty.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Basic knowledge of gardening, landscaping, plant care, lawn maintenance, and irrigation systems.
• Able to use, clean, maintain, and safely store gardening tools, lawn mowers, and related equipment.
• Basic knowledge of fertilizers, organic nutrients, and safe pest-control practices.
• Able to follow workplace safety procedures and correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Physically fit and able to perform outdoor and physically demanding gardening duties.
• Responsible, punctual, cooperative, and willing to support team members.
• Willing to participate in botanical and safety training and continuously develop relevant skills.
• Polite, service-minded, and able to maintain appropriate grooming and uniform standards while working in guest areas.
