Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Finance & Accounting operations for hotel pre-opening and ensure smooth financial setup before hotel opening.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting systems, financial procedures, policies, and internal controls. Establish accounting processes, workflows, and financial reporting structures in alignment with company standards and HQ requirements.
- Manage overall accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Control, Fixed Assets, Cash Flow Management, and Financial Reporting. Prepare, monitor, and control annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to achieve business objectives. -- Analyze financial performance, identify potential risks, and provide solutions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Effectively manage and control operating expenses, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records and accounting transactions. Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring all audit requirements are properly prepared and completed.
- Review audit findings, implement corrective actions, and improve financial control processes. Provide accurate financial reports and recommendations directly to the General Manager (GM).
- Prepare and submit financial reports, analysis, and updates to the Country Financial Controller.
- Support and complete financial projects and assignments as required by Headquarters (HQ). Work closely with all departments to ensure financial discipline and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Previous experience as Finance Manager / Chief Accountant / Assistant Financial Controller in a hotel environment.
- Strong experience in hotel pre-opening projects, including setting up accounting systems, procedures, and financial controls.
- Possess knowledge and experience in hotel accounting standards, financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, audit processes, and financial regulations.
- Experience working with external auditors and managing audit processes. Able to analyze financial data, identify problems, and provide effective solutions to achieve business targets.
- Strong leadership, management, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with senior management, GM, HQ, and cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure. Good command of English communication skills (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications. Required Certification / Professional
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent accounting qualification is preferred.
- Experience with audit preparation and financial compliance documentation.
- Knowledge of international hotel accounting standards (USALI) is an advantage.
